Escape to Almost Heaven Ranch in Boone, North Carolina

- Everyone keeps complimenting the horses and location of this ranch. - HORSES ARE NOT A GUARANTEE...weather, seasonal issues, transporting of the horses etc... odds are better in the late Spring through late Fall. - The Lodge is the top half of the main house and is 1,500 sq ft approximately - The guest house is separate but right beside the main house and is 450 sq ft with it's own bathroom and kitchen. - The guesthouse is the only unit that has AC but that far up it's not needed much anyways - Rebecca is available to have A PRIVATE MEET & GREET (must call her to check availability) where you can pet, feed, and comb the horses for a separate fee. Her info will be given out after the booking. (weather permitting) - Two mature dogs allowed for additional fee - $20 per pet per night. **SPECIAL NOTES** - The driveway to the Lodge goes right through the open area that the horses and mini mule roam in. They may crowd you and act like they wanna get out when you open the gates. They are very friendly and just think you want to feed them. They are not permitted outside the main gate to Almost Heaven road. - HEATING SPECIAL NOTE..In the winter it can get brutally cold here! I'm talking like zero degrees and wind. We have a kerosene monitor heater in the den (in addition to the fireplace) that will keep it and the front bathroom and kitchen warm. The master bedroom also has a fireplace and several electric space heaters available. It has gotten cold enough in the past to where the fireplace and space heaters couldn't keep up. It is rare but has happened. Be sure and check the weather for Boone. We're actually 1,200 feet above Boone so it gets even colder, windier and snowier SPECIAL SUMMER NOTE: The lodge does NOT have air conditioning. Most houses up here don't. We have fans that can be ran with the windows open is usually good. It's also less humid. The guesthouse does have a window unit and keeps the 450 sq ft cabin cool
